place at the 43rd annual Berklee College of Music High School Jazz
Ensemble this past weekend at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

The Senior High Jazz groups
are directed by Steven Conant. Auditions are held in the spring.
Jazz Ensemble
- Build a repertoire
of 10 tunes, some Ellington and some others. Emphasis on
creativity through improvisation, solid rehearsal techniques and team
work. This ensemble will start off in sectional rehearsals and quickly
move to ensemble. We will explore/rehearse and learn music of grade
3.5. All styles of jazz will be examined.

All GOLD medalists at the
district level were eligible to compete at the State Finals yesterday Saturday
March 21 in Framingham. NHS Jazz Ensemble again won a GOLD medal at State
Finals.
