MADRIGALS
Perform
at King Richard’s Fair
The Norwood High School Madrigal
Choir steps back in time and performs at King Richard’s Fair in October
in Carver, Massachusetts. This group of roaming troubadours, adorned in period
dress, sing the type of songs that give the group their name. A madrigal, as
defined by Webster, is a short poem usually about love that can be set to
music. It is typically written for several voices and sung a cappella, meaning
without accompaniment.
Make sure that you mark your calendars for the Annual Madrigal Banquet,
scheduled for December at the Elks Hall in Norwood. It promises to be the
highlight of the holiday season!
